Welcome to our booking page!

The Fashion Rebellion programme teaches budding makers to confidently use a sewing machine to make their own super-cool, upcycled items from unwanted textiles.

Sewing promotes dexterity, co-ordination, focus & concentration, boosts self-esteem, empowers and normalises a reuse and remake attitude.

Course creator Amanda Riley is a sustainable designer with a deep love for the planet and teaching life-skills to future generations. She has taught more than 3000 workshops for 8-16’s.We start with all of the sewing machines basics. Children work through the child-friendly course learning new skills & techniques with each eco-project.

We begin with smaller projects & take home multiple items each term. For those returning you’ll continue your journey with more complex projects.

The sessions are supported by Amanda’s own short video tutorials which helps each pupil to work at their own pace and because teaching 8 beginners on sewing machines would be like trying to teach 8 beginners on 8 pianos at once, impossible!

Sessions are for children aged 8+ years
